Founded in 1885, Maison Gilliard is one of the oldest wineries in Valais. Today, we cultivate approximately 60 hectares of vineyards in the heart of Valais and have stood the test of time by combining tradition and innovation. From the earth to the glass, we preserve our expertise and passion throughout the entire value chain. The winery was founded in 1959 by Gilbert Devayes' father, nicknamed Ricquet.
Today, Gilbert Devayes offers a wide selection of wines produced using
traditional methods and family expertise. His son-in-law, Gaëtan Carron, has joined
the business.

Our cellar is located in the heart of the Languedoc region, in the village of 

Le Chai du Baron is located next to the old stone bridge in the village of Bramois. This
magnificent 17th-century building is a special place where history and tradition
go hand in hand with all the facilities needed to produce high-quality wines.
Our grapes come from 20 hectares of vineyards that we cultivate with respect
and passion. Located exclusively on the sunny terraces of central Valais, our
estates extend over prestigious terroirs such as Clavau, Molignon and Uvrier.
In 2015, Patrice Walpen took over the reins of Le Chai du Baron. A native of the region, he brings
to the estate his characteristic enthusiasm and touch of originality, as well as his
winemaking experience acquired in Switzerland and South Africa.
Chai du Baron offers a complete range of traditional wines, as well as
specialities that have made the Valais famous.

Since its foundation in 1900, the Varone family business has followed the major
developments in Swiss and Valais wine production.
At that time, it was the first to offer its wines in small containers and to
distinguish between the qualities of bottled and open wines. This ensured the
commercial development of Varone wines in the gastronomy sector and among
private customers in Switzerland and abroad.
From the 1920s onwards, Frédéric Varone, the founder, anticipated market trends by
creating strong brands such as Fendant Soleil du Valais and Dôle Valéria.

Bonvin 1858 is the oldest wine house in Valais. It has greatly
contributed to the reputation of Swiss wines and more particularly to the
Valais appellation d'origine contrôlée.
Charles Bonvin cultivates 23.5 hectares of vines on the best slopes of central Valais:
terraced vineyards, facing south, with arid limestone schist soils,
which are reflected in the remarkable minerality of its wines.
The exceptional location of the Bonvin estates, cultivated using integrated production techniques,
and the cellar equipped with modern technical facilities,
explain the success of these wines with their predestined name.

Thanks to our passion and uncompromising quality standards, the Gregor Kuonen
Caveau de Salquenen winery has become one of the best wine producers
in Switzerland over the last four decades. Numerous
awards for ‘best wine in its category’ and more than 400 gold medals
adorn our honour board.
Our love for our vines is the foundation of our fine wines. In addition, the south-facing slopes
around Salquenen offer favourable terroir and more than 300 days of sunshine per year.
The harvested grapes are vinified with passion, our expertise acquired over the last 40 years and a great deal of patience to produce more than
60 exquisite wines. We are only satisfied with the best: noble creations that
accompany wine lovers in their finest moments.

Leytron (‘Humagne Village’), a charming wine-growing commune covering 270 hectares, is located
on the right bank of the Rhône, nestled at the foot of the Ardèvaz. It was in this typical village
that the Edmond Défayes and Jean Crettenand families decided in 1965 to create a
family winery in the true sense of the word.
With extensive experience in winegrowing and nurseries, motivated by their concern for
purity and authenticity, they innovated and embarked on the unique production of
Valais specialities, paying particular attention to the happy marriage of soil and
grape variety.
The first wines they offered their customers were called Humagne Blanc and
Humagne Rouge, Riesling, and Pinot Valais, produced from their two hectares of vines
located on the gravelly soils of their village and on the alluvial fan of Saillon,
an estate that now covers more than 6.8 hectares.
The next generation is now represented by Stéphane, Edmond's son, and his son François, who
are actively involved in running the estate and the winery, thus continuing
the family tradition.

A pioneer in so-called ‘SPS’ (no synthetic products) treatments, for ten years now
the estate has been dedicating a four-hectare plot of vines to
conducting trials in which all treatments based on synthetic chemicals are prohibited.

L’Orpailleur scours the most beautiful vineyards in the heart of Valais in search of the
purest gems. With steep terrain and exceptional terroirs, the winegrower must
earn his harvest just as the gold prospector earns his gold. He is committed to promoting

Dominated by the steep relief of the Haut-de-Cry mountain range, in the
Chamoson vineyard, our 10-hectare wine estate is located on an alluvial cone
with limestone, gravelly soil and on the Moette vineyard, a locality with
terraces on the Ardon hillside, with broken limestone soil overlooking the
Rhône valley.
Since 1948, when Simon Maye founded the winery, our family has patiently
perpetuated a genuine love of wine, the land and the selection of grape varieties. The soil
is worked with respect to guarantee the quality and character of our wines.
Behind our wines lies an ethical conviction: to keep our focus on the
terroir and its appellation. Wine is a story between the soil, the climate and man.
We are constantly reflecting and progressing in accordance with these values and
in the ongoing quest to promote great wines.

Our family has been cultivating vines for two generations, preserving the traditional methods
that have made Valais wines famous. La Cave des Amis was
founded in 1991 by Dominique and Michelle. It was built with the help of
family and several friends. It was a spirit of friendship and solidarity that gave
birth to the winery. Its name was obvious. In 2009, Pierre, the eldest of the
family, took over the reins of the business, followed by his younger brother Manu. In 2018, the
Cave des Amis acquired new cellar premises and a wine cellar. The values of
friendship are still cherished there.

The winery was founded in 1991 by André Fontannaz, who holds a
business degree, a CFC (Federal Certificate of Competence) in viticulture and a master's degree .
In homage to the patron saint of the village of Vétroz, André decided to
name his winery La Madeleine. He didn't need to call on professionals to find a suitable visual identity. His sister, Isabelle Fontannaz, is a master
glassmaker. She created the stained-glass window of
Saint Madeleine that can now be found on the labels of the
winery's bottles.
André's daughters, Chloé and Camille, joined the family business
in 2018. While Chloé is following in her father's footsteps and becoming an
oenologist, Camille is using different ingredients. After studying
languages and tourism, she joined the winery as a marketing and events manager to
bring new skills to the table.

The Bovanche winery in Ardon is a family estate whose oenologist, Nicolas
Jacquier, represents the second generation. The 5.5-hectare estate is
mainly located in Ardon and Savièse.
Located on the outskirts of the village of Ardon (on the Chamoson side), the wines from the Bovanche winery
have won numerous awards, and Nicolas Jacquier is one of the ‘rookies’ of
2022, as designated by the Gault & Millau jury.

Cave St-Ours 35 is a small family-run winery, founded in 2020, located at the top
of the picturesque village of Branson in the municipality of Fully.
We produce 3,000 to 4,000 bottles using traditional, manual methods.
The winery's philosophy is to intervene as little as possible in the wines in order to
best express each grape variety. For us, the essential work is done in the vineyard.
We produce five AOC Valais wines, including the Fendant ‘Félix’, Petite Arvine,
Pinot Noir, Gamay Vieilles Vignes, Humagne Rouge ‘Léo’ and Syrah.
All bottles are lovingly numbered by hand.
The vines are tended by Marielle and Michel Boson and the wine is matured by Corentin
Rossier. 

The Domaine de la Rameau was founded by my grandfather, Antoine
Carruzzo, and then my father, Antoine-Marie Carruzzo. Over two generations, they
acquired plots of land, optimised the surface area and planted grape varieties suited
to the different terroirs of Chamoson. This considerable work is a blessing
today.
Until my arrival in 2009, the estate focused on producing grapes
that were then sold to local merchants. When I took over the family estate
after a career in medicine, I wanted to change the model a little by starting to vinify some of the best plots we
had. This is how Cave de la Rameau was born in 2010, with the aim of
producing high-end wines that best reflect the Valais terroirs.
"Above all, I want to make wines that reflect the terroir. Of course, man is one of the
components of the terroir, but he is by no means the most important one. I listen to
nature and try to bring out the best of what this land has to offer. My father
left me his vines, but also his vision of wine."
